What Do You Know About Blogging

For our first post, we will simply look at what we already know about blogs.

In a comment, answer the following questions about blogging.

1. How much do you know about blogging already?

2. Have you ever used/hosted/posted a blog? If yes, which blog(s).

3. What would you use a blog for personally?

4. Search the Internet and find some research about blogging? How did it start and when?

5. What benefits can you see to using a blog? Give specific examples.

  1. 1. I know that blogging is sort-of like a diary. You basically go on it and post how your day was, or it could be on a certain topic that you would like to talk about.
    2. Yes I have, My 8th grade English Teacher, Mrs.Kaufman, made one for the class.
    3. I am not quite sure what I would use a blog personally for, probably just to talk about a topic that I might randomly want to talk about.

  2. 1. I know a little bit about blogging, but I haven't really blogged before.
    2. Nope, this is the first blog account.
    3. I would probably use it more when I get older.
    4. It appears the very first blog started in 1993, and it was the Mosaic. But it didn't become popular until 1998. It was used for other bloggers to swap links and other websites.
    5. Some benefits of blogging could be become better with words. Like, you can be more articulate, and better at spelling.

  3. 1.I don't know much about blogging, this is my first time using this website and having a blog account.
    2.No i have never posted a blog before, this is my first time.
    3.I would use a blog to post my ideas and opinions about various things.
    4.It is said that blogging all started in 1993. But there were not even a handful of blogs until 1998. At first blogs were just comments on many websites but they became very simple and begger and became peoples own blogs. Also around 1998-1999 people would post on-line diaries which later became blogs. This is how blogging all started.
    5.When using a blog, i see benefits of expressing my opinion and many other things.

  4. 1. I know blogging is almost like a public/private journal. You can put down your ideas and thoughts about things in your life.
    2. No I have never used a blog before.
    3. I would use a blog to share my thoughts on the situations I am put in each day. Each day comes with new lessons to be learened.

    4. The term blog refers to weblog and it is in every fashion not a commercial or professional site. It is more of the personal nature, for comment or web site material. It started in 1994, by a guy named Justin.

    5. I can write things that i want people to see, and it would give me a better chance in life to be a journalist.

    5.Benefits to using a blog are that you can tell people your opinions, tell people about your day, or tell people about a vacation you have been on. It might even give people a description of a nice vacation area liek Florida.

For example, you can talk to someone from Australia who likes the same band as you.

    3. I would use a blog to talk about something I might need another’s opinion on to help me decided something.

    4. At first, around 1998-1999, blogs were used as online diaries, where one could discuss whatever news he/she wanted to discuss on whatever topic(s) he/she chose to talk about. Often, this would be about the daily happenings in one’s lives, so blogs were updated quite often. Blogging started in 1993 which was the mosaic but it did not become popular until 1998.

    5. Blogging would benefit me by allowing me to become a better writer, and also get some of my personal stuff out (to in extent)that might be bothering me and then I can hear what other people have to say about the situation which might help to get another view on it.
