After reading the 'rate Nicole' handout.....respond to the following please:
What, if anything, should school administrators do about the situation and why do you feel the way you do.
What, if anything, should her parents do about the situation and why do you feel the way you do.
Please make valid arguements to your responses.
1. They should try to talk to them and if they do not stop they can involve the police because it is harassment.I feel this way because no one should have to go through harassment, it is very uncalled for and no one has the right to do what they did.
ReplyDelete2. Her parents should talk to the school administrators and try to solve this problem and once again if it does not stop then they should involve the police and maybe the group of girls will realize that this is serious business.
They should try to shut the website down because it is only just causing someone more grief, i feel this way because noone should have to go through that kind of experience.
ReplyDeleteThe parents should go to the school and confront the teachers or principals about the situation, only because they are not able to stop or do anything about the website at home
I think the administrators should bring all of the girls involved and get everyone's side of the story and then try to figure out why it happened and the serverity of it so they can decide what consequences should be given. I think this is right because if they don't do anything whose to say the girl will stop.
ReplyDeleteI think that the parents should at least contact the school administratirs so they can deal with the problem because if they don't the problem could just keep going on.
i would think the administration would ask her if she wants to switch schools because theres nothing you can do that will make them stop. i think her parents should either home school her for a little bit until she gets into a new school were people dont know the problems at her old school.
ReplyDeleteThe school administration should take action by finding these girls and suspend or even expell them for these harsh actions that they have taken to threaten Nicole I feel this way because if the school doesnt do anything about it and take care of these girls then the situation will just get worse.
ReplyDeleteThe parents should talk to the school about this and take actions in to talking to the other girls parents that are making the threats against Nicole
The school administrators should get involved and stop it. They should make them delete the web site and suspend everyone that was involved in it.
ReplyDeleteHer parents should of called the school right a way and they should call the other students parents and tell them what there child is doing is wrong.
I think that the school should say that the site needs to be deleted and they should watch Nicole to make sure she is safe. They could threaten to expel anyone tries to beat up Nicole and the creator of the site.
ReplyDeleteI do not know if her parents could do much but
I think they should allow her to switch schools.
What i think that school adiministers should do is call the people who were involved and ask them to stop, and if it keeps happening get the police involed.
ReplyDeleteWhat i think that her parents should do is just let the principle know about the sitituatiion going on and tell them to make it stop.
It's hard for school administrators to do much about things going on outside of school. As much as I feel anyone who can should help, it's hard to take care of. If school administrators are notified of this problem, action should be taken. I think that the creators of anything of that sort online should be punished to some degree. At the same time, it is just teasing at an extrememly nasty level. If they can punish the students involved and contact their parents, it could improve the situation marginally.
ReplyDeleteThey should possibly contact the school to let them know of this on going problem. If the school cannot do anything at all, possibly contact legal officials, because it has reached a level of harassment. The students may or may not stop their actions if they are spoken to. Some sort of bigger picture needs to be revealed. For example, in the news a girl hung herself due to online and in school bullying. If Nicole needs to go to another school, maybe her parents can set that up for her.
Nicole's school administrators should suspend the people who set up the rate nicole handout because they hurt nicoles feelings and that will lead to a fight.
ReplyDeleteNicoles parents should call the parents of the people who created the handout and tell them what their kids did and then tell the police.
The school should step in and find the girls that did it and call their parents. They should also make the girls sit down with Nicole and talk about it and make them apologize. Lastly, they should give them a detention or somehting for bullying. I feel this way because what they did effected the learning enviorment in the school.
ReplyDeleteTheir parents should sit down and talk to them and make them realize what they did was wrong. Just like the school, they should make them talk to Nicole about it.
1. The school administrators should suspend the girls that made the group because that is cyber bullying and it should not be happening.
ReplyDelete2. I think Nicole’s parents should talk to that group of girls’ parents and see why they did what they did and if they know how much damage it has done, I think this because cyber bullying can really affect some people, and it can make them very depressed.
I think the school administrators should step up and talk to the girls that put the pictures of Nicole online for everyone to rate. I think that was wrong for those girls to do that. I would be embarrassed if people put embarrassing pictures of me online.
ReplyDeleteI think her parents should move, and change schools for Nicole, because once the parents talk to the school then all the kids are going to be even mad at her for telling on them, and for getting them in trouble.
1. well I dont know if school administrators could do much about the situation because its a personal matter but they could keep the kids separate from each other throughout the day. A school administrator doesn't exactly have the power to deal with personal problems and or interfere with the childs outside life but sure there are a few things that they could do to prevent any thing form happening in the school or on the school grounds.
ReplyDelete2.The parents however shold meet with each other look at the social page and get the "bullies" to apologize for their actions.
The parents have a big take in all of this if their child is behaving the way they are towards anoth child then the parent should dicsipline their child accordingly. Also they should be a good enough parent to get the reason why the argument took place and have a solution to their childs feelings.
Since it did get brought into school,i think that the administrators should get everyone involed and have them talk to nicole in person.i feel this way because i think people make mistakes and should get another chance.
ReplyDeleteHer parents should talk to all the girls parents about the situation and let them handel it from there. i feel this way because their parents are really the only ones who can really punish her.
1.School administrators should shut down the site, and talk to the kids who threatened or harrassed nicole.
ReplyDelete2. If needed her parents could have her be transfered out of that school.
Her parents should comfort her and help her through this. There is not much they can do. the school, however, can make sure this doesn't get out of hand at school and keep her from learning.
ReplyDeleteI think school administrators should try and stop this by confronting the people that started it all because some of it was on school property. Everyone does stupid things so they need to get to the bottom of it all. But, People shouldnt harass other people because it's wrong. If people are telling her these things at school it is the schools job to stop it.
ReplyDeleteI think her parents should talk to Nicoles so called "friends" parents. It is also her parents responsibility to help out their daughter in anyway possible. They can talk with the principle.
1. i think the administrators should deal with every girl individually. Because if it's only one girl who started this and the rest are following, you shouldnt have them the leader and follower in the same room. Then they should bring them all together and just talk this out.
ReplyDelete2. Her parents should call the principal and call the other girls parents sothey they know what their child is doing and saying. However, you have to get both sides to the story. Maybe Nicole started some of this. You just have to deal with this as best as you can and hope that the other group of girls delete the group.
To be honest, I don't see anything that the school administration can really do. They cannot be in control of what every kid in that school does on the internet. Also, I don’t even think that the school administrators should even address it to the school, because it would bring even more harassment to Nicole. Eventually, and without the school administration sticking their nose into it, the harassment will die down, because the harassers will get bored of it.
ReplyDeleteBut, If the harassment persists for a long period of time, I think that the parents should let Nicole choose to go to another school, because the harassment might interfere with her learning experience.
•School administrators should have a talk with the bullies. Let them know what they are getting into. Maybe the school administrators will have talks with thier parents, then try to solve everything. They could also, very well, get in school detention.I feel that way because hopefully that would stop the bullies.
ReplyDelete•Her parents shoould call the bullies parents and talk to them about it. They should be very supportive for Nicole. The parents should also tell the school to punish them somehow to learn thier lesson.I feel this way because maybe that would probably stop the bullies, and Nicole would feel better.
If there was a situation like "Rate Nicole", the school administrators should take Nicole into counsling so she doesn't become overwhelmed with the problem, and take out her anger where she could possibly get in a lot of trouble. Then, they should talk to the girls who created the "Rate Nicole". Maybe even give them detentions, in-school suspension, or expulsion. Depends on how serious the problem got until they stepped in to help Nicole. I feel this way because they need to terminate the situation as fast as they can, and if they don't, the problem will keep going; just, not as big as open-bullying, but behind their backs. And Nicole will still be hurt.
ReplyDeleteIf there was a situation like "Rate Nicole", her parents should talk to her about it, then take action at school if nothing has been done yet. They should ask her what she wants to do, and take everything seriously, not just listening to what she has to say. With the school, they should ask them what they can do to keep her protected and away from physical bullying. I feel this way because parents shouldn't just listen to their kids; they should step up and help them with their problems at school.
The most the school can do is talk to the students involved with the group. They can ask them why they did it and figure out a way to solve the problem.
ReplyDeleteThe parents could contact the school and the other parents. But in these types of situations there isn't much you can do.
If a situation like this ever occurred, then school administrators should take action. I think that they should suspend the kids who are posting the pictures and comments, etc. to teach them a lesson. To teach them it is wrong and everything you do has a consequence. I feel this way because I think it isn’t fair for a kid to feel hurt, embarrassed, etc. and the kids who are making them feel that way are just walking around like nothing ever happened.
ReplyDeleteHer parents should also take some action, like maybe talking to the other kid’s parents and get them to understand what this is doing to their child. I think parents should always do stuff to help their kids, like Nicole’s parents can help her to find a solution to stop all the gossip and embarrassing stuff about her.
I think school administrators should bring Nicole and the group of girls who started the website into an office. Then, sit them all down together and find out what is happening, why the website was made, and how each person feels about it. Finding out what has happened and why this entire website was made would help get to the bottom of the whole deal. I feel this way because it seems that Nicole has no one on her side and that the whole school is turning against her and it makes me very upset and a kind if angry.
ReplyDeleteNicole's parents should go to the girls' parents who started the website and confront them about what their children are doing. The girls can be charged with cyber bullying and harassment. The things they are doing are against the law, and they could get in a lot of trouble for this. I feel this way because I have friends who have been in a very similar situation and problems never go away until they are confronted and taken care of. It is a lot easier to do if the other parents know about it.
1. I think school administrators should do something about the situation; they should do something because they need to get involved in helping Nicole with these bullies because Nicole could get really hurt by them or even hurt her because of it, Nicole needs to feel safe. They should get the police involved to try to shut down the site so people can’t right anymore things on there.
ReplyDelete2. Her parents should call the parents of these kids and have all the parents and kids site in a room with the school administrators and work something out, if it does not stop they can call the police and let them handle it. Also Nicole should change schools to help a little with getting bullied at that school.
